Richard began his racing career in 2014, making his competitive debut in a Lotus Elise Cup R. It was the perfect starting point for a driver drawn to lightweight, responsive cars and close competition, and it marked the beginning of a racing journey built on enjoyment, challenge, and a genuine love of being on track.

Over the years, Richard has been fortunate enough to drive some exceptional machinery, but his standout favourite remains the iconic 1971 Ferrari 365GTB4. A true classic, the Daytona is a car that combines elegance with power and character — and for Richard, it represents everything that makes historic motorsport so special.

When it comes to circuits, Richard’s favourites are split between two very different venues: the Hungaroring and Thruxton. The Hungaroring demands precision and rhythm, rewarding drivers who can maintain momentum and consistency lap after lap. Thruxton, on the other hand, offers a completely different challenge — fast, committed, and exhilarating, it remains one of the UK’s ultimate tests of confidence.

Richard’s racing hero is Innes Ireland, admired not only for his driving ability but for his fearless spirit and individuality during one of the sport’s most memorable eras.

And for a bit of fun, Richard’s favourite biscuit is simply “the next one” — because in Richard’s view, there’s always room for one more.
