Silverstone Grand Prix Preview – Round Three of the 2026 Equipe Historic Championship
The Equipe Historic Championship returns to Silverstone, this time tackling the full Grand Prix Circuit, for Round Three of its inaugural 2026 season on Saturday, 9th May 2026.
After thrilling races at Silverstone International and Oulton Park, the championship steps up another gear as competitors face one of the most famous and demanding racing circuits in the world. The 5.9 km Grand Prix layout offers an exhilarating mix of high-speed corners, technical sequences, and long straights — the perfect stage for the finest Pre-1966 GT, GTS, and Touring Cars to show their pedigree.
A 30-minute qualifying session will determine the grid ahead of a 60-minute endurance race, open to single or two-driver teams. Expect breathtaking racing through iconic corners such as Maggotts, Becketts, Copse, and Stowe, where precision, rhythm, and nerve come into play.
Running from the Silverstone Wing, the event will once again combine top-level organisation with the unmistakable atmosphere of historic motorsport. The paddock will be alive with classic machinery and camaraderie, as the Equipe community continues to grow in both strength and spirit.
The race will be broadcast live, bringing the sights and sounds of vintage racing to enthusiasts across the UK and abroad. As a headline fixture, this round marks another key milestone for a championship that has already captured the imagination of competitors and fans alike.
With two strong opening events already in the books, Round Three at Silverstone Grand Prix promises to deliver another memorable chapter in what is fast becoming one of the UK’s most exciting new historic racing series.
Join us on Saturday, 9th May 2026, for a full day of classic competition at the Home of British Motorsport, where history, heritage, and horsepower come together once again.
